Cream sugar and butter; add eggs one at a time and beat well. Combine soda and sour cream, then alternately add with combined flour and salt to creamed mixture. Add vanilla. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned.
Mix the above ingredients by hand and divide in half. Put one half on the bottom of 9" X 13" pan and press to cover bottom. Spread jam or preserves on top, then put remaining half on top of jam. Press down to cover jam.
Blend together eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon and salt. Stir into egg mixture. Fold in apples, nuts and raisins. Bake in greased and floured 9 X 13 pan. 350 degrees - 1 hour. Let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into squares.
Preheat oven to 375. Beat together butter, sugars & extracts until fluffy. Add eggs and mix until thoroughly incorporated. Add powder & soda. Mix. Add cornstarch, flour & chocolate chips (nuts also if you like) and MIX BY HAND until combined. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto a parchment paper lined sheet.
Bake at 375 for 11-13 minutes. Do not over-bake. They do not really brown on the bottoms. As soon as they don’t look shiny anymore they are done. Mine take 12 minutes on an air bake pan.
The situation with COVID-19 has forced us and every community such as ours to change the way we operate our facilities this summer to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus. Your RRA Board of Directors in an effort to keep our facilities open for the summer while also following State mandates has worked with the Ashtabula County Health Department to implement several changes to the way our facilities operate this summer. As we have all seen, the mandates change by the day. Please check out our COVID-19 Info page for the latest on our operations.
