Debonné will also be holding its annual Clambake that evening. Those interested in the clambake dinner should contact Debonné directly at (440) 466-3485 for ticket information. The clambake is completely optional, and Debonné’s regular menu will also be available for ordering.

Live entertainment will be featured in the lounge for those who would like to enjoy some music after dinner.

From the Office: Official Fall starts Tuesday, September 22nd. With that we would like to try out our New and Improved in person member service hours. Typical of this time of year we do not have much foot traffic but when we do it seems to be when we first open or at the end of the day. Starting next week our Fall/Winter Member Service Hours will be Monday 9-1 and Friday 1-5. Let’s give it a try!

The office is staffed Monday-Friday 8-4 for online services and other administrative duties.

The 2026 General Election will be held Tuesday, November 3, with polls open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Roaming Shores Polling Location

While the RRA Clubhouse has traditionally served as a polling location, voters should be aware that the polling location for Roaming Shores for the remainder of 2026 will be:

Please keep this change in mind when making your Election Day plans and do not assume your polling location is the Clubhouse.

On Election Day, voters must vote at the polling location assigned to their current registered address.

Get those costumes ready! Trick-or-Treating in Roaming Shores will take place Saturday, October 31st from 5:00–7:00 PM. Please use extra caution while driving through the community, as there will be plenty of little ghosts and goblins out and about!

After trick-or-treating, the fun continues! The Roaming Shores Police Department will host its Halloween Costume Contest at 7:30 PM at the RRA Clubhouse. Cash prizes will be awarded in four categories: Elementary School, Middle School, High School & Adults, and Groups. First-place winners will also compete for an additional $25 Best in Show prize!

Hot dogs, cider and s’mores will be provided to participants and spectators during the event while supplies last.

The pleasure of your company is requested for Moonlight & Magic—RomeRock Association’s Halloween Celebration, an elegant evening created especially for members of our community ages 21 and older.

For one enchanted night, the RRA Clubhouse will be transformed by candlelight, music and a touch of mystery. Guests may enjoy dancing, light refreshments, a generous grazing table and costume awards throughout the evening.

A study recently conducted by the Cleveland Metroparks Aquatic Invasive Species Project under the auspices of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative determined that non-native European water clover has become established in our lake. To date, it has not been detected elsewhere in the Ohio Lake Erie watershed, so this is a finding of concern. In partnership with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources the project has a goal of early detection and rapid response action against new aquatic invasive species located in the watershed in an effort to contain its spread.

European water clover has been primarily found in Plum Creek Cove, Cherrywood Cove, Fisherman’s Cove, Beachview Cove, Sugar Creek Cove, Spanish Cove, and the east and west sides of the south end of the lake. On Friday, September 18th, the Project team will be returning to our lake to spot treat infested areas at Fisherman’s Cove, Plum Creek Cove, and the south end of the lake with an EPA-approved aquatic herbicide in an effort to prevent further spread of this invasive species both within our lake and the Lake Erie watershed. There will be no cost to the RRA for this treatment. The primary restriction associated with this herbicide is to wait 24 hours following the application before using lake water for lawn and other irrigation purposes. Lake Management and the RRA Maintenance Department will continue to monitor the lake and evaluate the control of this species.

The second and fourth Tuesdays during the months of September through April.

Who may attend?
Adults over the age of 18 who are active RRA members and their guests as permitted by the association rules.

Is there any cost?
No! Game Nights are free and there is no club requirement other than being an active RRA member.

Are food and drinks permitted?
Yes, you may bring beverages and snacks for yourself or to share. Remember everyone is responsible for cleaning up after themselves.

What games will be played?
That’s up to the players in attendance. Several tables with a variety of games will be set up and you can pick what you want to play and with whom. Players are encouraged to bring friends, mingle, learn new games, or play their old favorites.

Are all gaming supplies provided?
Yes and no. Several games will be available, but players are encouraged to bring anything they want to play, teach or donate.

What if I don’t know how to play?
Most of the games are common and basic, but you might want to try something new. Experienced players are encouraged to introduce new games and help those interested in learning them.

What if I’m not interested in the games that are available?
Bring your personal favorite and make some new friends to join you playing it!

Are children permitted?
Only adults are permitted in the clubhouse for these Game Nights.

Will there be any gaming events for families, teens, children or seniors?
That’s up to our RRA members. Club organizers will be happy to assist new volunteers in organizing events aimed at including more participants.

Calling all crafters! A new Roaming Shores Arts & Crafts Club is launching this fall, offering members a chance to discover new projects, learn creative skills, and enjoy creating with others in the community.

The club’s first session will meet Tuesdays from 1:00–3:00 PM at the Clubhouse, September 15 through November 17. There will be no meeting on November 3 due to Election Day.

The fall lineup includes paper quilling, abstract fabric painting, watercolor, jewelry making, wreath making, and more!

Annual club membership is $25, with a cost of $40 per 10-week session. Not ready to join? Individual classes are available for $15 per week.

A longtime Fishing Club tradition returns on Saturday, September 19, with the annual Dean Blanton Memorial Bass Tournament on Lake Roaming Rock.

The tournament is open to Fishing Club members (family membership is $25). Entry is $40 per boat with no limit on the number of people per boat. Anglers may also enter the optional Big Bass competition for an additional $10 per boat.

Competitors will fish for a best five bass limit, including largemouth and smallmouth bass.

Registration and livewell checks begin at 6:30 AM at the Marina, followed by a 7:00 AM launch. Weigh-in will take place at 1:00 PM at the Marina.

Come out and take part in this annual Fishing Club tradition and enjoy a morning of friendly competition on Lake Roaming Rock!
