Garden Club
A few residents of the Shores will be getting together at the Picnic in the Park (noon, Wed., July 9th.) to organize a Garden Club. Anyone who is interested is welcome to join us. If you are interested but unable to come July 9th., watch this site and other sites for future meetings.
Annual Roaming Shores Garage Sale
Note: This announcement is for the 2014 Garage Sale
It’s time to start planning for the Annual Roaming Shores Garage Sale! This year, the event has been extended to 2 days, Friday, June 13th and Saturday, June 14th from 9am-4pm.
If you are planning on participating in the Garage Sale, please contact the RRA Office at 440-563-3170 or reply to this email. We will add your address to a list so that visitors will know where to find you. Signs will also be available at the RRA Office that may be posted to your mailbox or at the end of your street.
The 2014 Polar Bear Plunge
22 inch thick ice, freezing temps, and snow couldn’t stop over 130 Polar Bear Plungers from braving the icy plunge into Lake Roaming Rock last weekend!
Participating were Jefferson Area High School, Pymatuning Valley High School, Grand Valley, and other brave adults and residents!
Together, they raised over $6,741 for the Jeffrey B. Meddock Memorial Scholarship Fund, Jefferson Falcon Academic Boosters, Grand Valley Elementary PTO, and Roaming Shores Breakfast with Santa.

2014 Polar Bear Plunge
The 9th Annual Polar Bear Plunge will be held on March 8th, 2014 at the Main Beach. This event raises funds for local charities. If you are interested in participating or would like more information, Jumper Information 2014! Pre-registration is closed.
Registration, DJ Entertainment, and hotdog/beverage sales begin at 1pm.
The Plunge begins at 3pm!
Even if you are not participating in the Plunge, come out and show your support! It’ll make you feel warmer! 😉
Christmas Events
Promotion Club Tree Trimming
On Friday, December 6th, the Promotion Club will be hosting a Tree Trimming Social Hour at the Clubhouse. Each family is requested to donate an ornament to decorate the Christmas Tree.
Polar Bear Club Breakfast with Santa
On December 14, the Polar Bear Club will be hosting Breakfast with Santa at the Clubhouse from 9am – 11am (Santa appears at 10am).
The party is free for all Children and Grandchildren (12 years old and younger) of Roaming Shores Residents. Each child will receive a gift from Santa. Registration is required with a cutoff date of December 7th. You can register by emailing the Polar Bear Club at joeythepolarbear@yahoo.com. Please make sure to indicate:
- Number of Adults
- Number of Kids
- Name, Age, and Gender of each kid
Donations are highly welcome to help cover increasing costs to host this event.

The Webelos Den of Cub Scout Pack 72 is looking for your help! They are collecting non-perishable food to help others! Items can be dropped off at the Village Hall or Association Office through November 16th. Please help us show what a wonderful community this is by giving to others. Every little bit helps!

In preparation for the Promotion Club’s Dance with the Kingpins to be held on Saturday, August 24th, Dick and Jan Hurwitz of the Promotion Club will be offering swing dance lessons/review! These lessons will be held on Mondays, August 12 and 19, from 7 – 8pm at the Clubhouse.

The Roaming Shores Fishing Club will be having a Clam Bake on September 21st, 3pm – 5pm at the Clubhouse.
