New Lake Water Hazard

Mike Zook sent in this picture that he took last weekend of a deer out for a swim in the Plum Creek arm of the lake! Boaters should be on the lookout for this new hazard.

Fortunately, Mike reports that the deer made a successful exit from the water and went on its merry way.

Spring 2013 OLCA Meeting

This past week, RRA Board President (& OLCA Board Pres.) Bob Sobczak, his wife Karen, Ed & Carol Baitt (VP), Rick Gainar (S), and myself traveled to Lake Waynoka in Sardinia, OH to attend the Spring Ohio Lake Communities Association's (OLCA) Meeting.

OLCA Meetings are a chance for fellow Lake Communities, located throughout the state, to learn and share ideas. Topics of discussion this session ranged from governance issues, to dredging, to recreational facilities, to water quality. It's always an interesting experience to see how similar and different our Lake Communities operate.
