One of the many benefits of being a member of the RomeRock Association is not only the use of our beautiful lake, but also the right to use our many facilities. Below are descriptions and pictures of many of our wonderful facilities.

Lake Roaming Rock is the Largest Private Lake in Ohio which bolsters fun for boaters, skiers, fishers, and swimmers alike with 22 miles of shoreline and a 7-mile ski loop. The lake has an excellent population of large and small-mouth bass along with great fishing for crappie, silver and channel cat, perch and bluegill. All watercraft must be member-owned and powered watercraft must be registered each year at the RRA Office.

The RRA Clubhouse is the meeting place for the Clubs and Groups of Roaming Shores. It can also be rented by Members in good standing for parties, weddings, showers, graduations, etc. Details can be found here. The Clubhouse is 3500 sq. ft. which includes a spacious meeting area, a fireplace, and a kitchen.

There are two beach areas in Roaming Shores, one on the West side (Beach 1) and East side (Beach 2). These beach areas have many amenities.
At beach 1, there is a Sandy Beach, the RRA Clubhouse, a Fishing Cove, Two Swimming Pools (adult and kiddie pool), a Volleyball Court, a Children's Playground, Three Picnic Pavilions, Picnic Tables, Barbeque Grills, and a Concession Stand. It is also the site of our 4th of July Celebration! .
The East Beach (Beach 2) is located on the opposite side of the Lake from the Clubhouse. This area has many amenities such as a Sandy Beach, Two Swimming Pools (one adult, one kiddie), a Volleyball Court, a Children’s Playground, Fishing Areas, and Temporary Boat Dockage.

In addition to Beaches on each side of the lake, Roaming Shores also has Pools. Each beach area has 2 Pools, one adult swimming pool and a kiddie pool. All pools are heated. The Pools are open from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day.

There are several courts for basketball, baseball, tennis, pickleball and volleyball in Roaming Shores.
Outside of the Clubhouse entrance (RL 4), there are two tennis courts that can convert to 4 pickleball courts and a basketball court.
Basketball Courts are also located at Sunset Park, Dawn Park and RL 35 (Off of Morning Star, site of old pool 4).
Baseball Fields are located at Sunset Park and Dawn Park.
Volleyball Courts are located at Beach 1.

Dawn Park is located in the North-East portion of Roaming Shores. This part is home to a Baseball Field, a Basketball Court, Barbeque Grills, a Picnic Pavilion, a Wooded Picnic Area, A Large Lawn Sports Area, and Restrooms.

Sunset Park is located in the South-West portion of Roaming Shores. A Baseball Field, Barbeque Grills, a Basketball Court, and a Wooded Picnic Pavilion can all be found here.

Located at the end of Marina Drive is a 3-lane paved boat launching ramp. Access to Lake Roaming Rock is restricted to Members of the RRA in good standing.

Lake Roaming Rock is patrolled by both the RRA and ODNR. All State and RRA Rules must be followed on the lake. See the Boating Information page for more information.

The Western Reserve Greenway Trail is a 43-mile long trail from Ashtabula, Ohio to Warren, Ohio for biking, walking, running, hiking, rollerblading, snowmobiling, or skiing. A portion of this trail runs through Roaming Shores. The Trail was constructed on an old railroad line. Closet parking lot is located on Rome Rock Creed Rd just north of the Waste Water Treatment plant.

Located next to the Boat Ramp, Roaming Rock Marina is a full-service marina and store, offering docking and storage. Roaming Rock Marina is not owned or operated by the RRA.

Paradise Bay is an independently owned and operated Bar & Grill located right on the waterfront. It is open year-round to the public.

The RRA Maintenance Department is staffed by 4 full-time employees with part-time help during the summer. They are responsible for maintaining roads; plowing snow; maintaining two pools, two beaches, dockage at the beaches, and the three-lane paved boat ramp; upkeep of 55 recreation lots, a 3500 sq. ft. clubhouse, 20 plus out-buildings and picnic pavilions, as well as maintenance of the Association’s baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, and volleyball courts.

Thanks to the efforts of the STARS Club and generous donations from Members, the Shores is able to host its own Annual Fireworks Display. The highlight of the year! The Fireworks are fired from Beach 2 and are best view by boat or from the Clubhouse area.

The Village of Roaming Shores is patrolled by its own full-time Police Department.

Operated by the Village of Roaming Shores, the Compost Site provides a free place where only village residents may both dispose of their yard waste and also take wood chips and mulch for landscaping purposes. No trees, branches or stumps from lot clearing operations are allowed to be disposed of at the site. Access to the site must be obtained through the Village of Roaming Shores.
