Dues and Assessments

While Dues and Assessments are due by May 1st, the Board of Directors has voted to not assess late fees until July 1st. To those who would like to register their watercraft with the RRA, your Dues and Assessments must be paid in full first. You can mail your payment to P.O. Box 8, Rome, OH 44085, use the blue dropbox on our office’s porch, utilize your bank’s bill pay option, or Pay Online (follow the directions at the bottom of the page).

RRA Watercraft Decals

The Online RRA Watercraft Decal system seems to be working out really well so far. Remember to include the numbers that come after OH (or your appropriate State’s lettering) e.g. OH1234AB.

The RRA will send out an invoice via PayPal once all of the necessary information has been received. You don’t have to pay via PayPal, but we will not send out decals before we have receipt of your payment. You must have your Dues and Assessments paid in full before the RRA can process your decals. 2019 decals are now valid until 5/22/2020. If your State Registration is expired, you must work with ODNR for your voucher letter first before being permitted to have your watercraft in State waters. That includes Lake Roaming Rock.

ODNR Registrations: If you are still waiting on your State registration, Haines Marine in Andover is able to process Ohio watercraft registration, once again. They are located at 6431 State Route 85, Andover, Ohio 44003 440-293-5156. If you’re in Lake County, we’ve received word that Great Lakes Boat Works in Painesville is processing registrations, as well 440-354-2628.

Going out on the lake is a great way to practice social distancing while also enjoying time outside of the house, however, if you do go out, State laws, the RRA Boating Rules, and Common Sense still apply.

Common Areas

For safety reasons, the playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts have been closed.

The Clubhouse is closed to all Group functions. This includes all Club meetings, Board Meetings, Committees, etc. All current rentals are being refunded on a week to week basis. There will be no new rentals of the Clubhouse for 2020 accepted at this time.

We are just as hopeful as you are that our summer fun will be unaffected by COVID-19. However at this time, we can make no promises as to when our Common Areas will be reopened for use. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. These are extraordinary circumstances.

Pools

Despite being a “private” lake community, our pools (and any pool not on a private residence, i.e. your own personal home) are defined by the Ohio Revised Code as a Public Swimming Pool. When our pools can be reopened is up to the State.

5-14 Update: Pools can reopen May 26th. We are awaiting guidelines to be posted by the State and pending approval from the RRA Board of Directors and the Ashtabula County Health Dept. Guarantees will not be made whether we will open ON the 26th. Please be patient, prior to the announcement on May 14th, it wasn’t clear if we were going to be able to open the pools at all.

Membership Cards

5-14 Update: We will begin mailing out Membership Cards to all who Approved Members who have paid their Dues and Assessments in full. If you prefer to have us hold your cards for pickup, please let us know ASAP. Cards will be mailed the week of the 18th.
