The Roaming Shores 5K’s proceeds benefit our local Safety Services and the STARS Club, which organizes several events in the Shores and the annual Fireworks Display.

Cardboard Boat Races

The Roaming Shores Police Department would like to announce our 7th Annual Lake Roaming Rock Cardboard Boat Race.

This year’s race will take place on Saturday July 5, 2025 and will again promptly start at noon.

Workshop

In past years, all of those who have participated or attempted to participate in the boat race have come to understand the difficulties in securing the time and materials needed to construct a cardboard boat. In attempts to better secure materials and allow the necessary time needed for the construction of one’s boat, the Roaming Shores Police Department will again be hosting two Cardboard Boat Workshops scheduled for June 14th and June 28th from 12:00 to 2:00. The workshops will be held at the clubhouse, tentatively at the small pavilion by the covered bridge. During these workshops, the police department will provide cardboard and various assembly materials to all of those in the community who wish to participate in the 2025 Cardboard Boat Race.

If you have any questions, please contact the Roaming Shores Police Department at 440 563-3135 or by email at rspd@roamingshorespd.org
