2025 Polar Bear Plunge Recap

We have the results of the 20th anniversary Polar Bear Plunge!

This year was an amazing celebration of 20 years. We raised $36,290.00 in total and still counting! In addition we had what seemed to be a record number of spectators that came to support our plungers! We also had returning groups to plunge like Muggs and Paradise Bay as well as newcomers Glenbeigh and Day Dream Winery!

This year we will be awarding $30,200 to our local schools! Their awarded amounts are based on participation of both student plungers and money raised.

In first place this year with 58 plungers and raising just under $5,000 is Jefferson! This is also a new record for total money raised by 1 school. They will be receiving $15,000!

In second place we have last year’s winners falling just behind with 50 plungers, Pymatuning Valley! They will be receiving $12,000!

And in third place we have Grand Valley! Due to some unfortunate circumstances GV did not have the participation of past years. We would like to give a huge shoutout to those students who did represent their school. GV will be receiving $2,000 towards their student programs!

We will also be awarding a total of 4 scholarships to A-Tech totaling $1,200!

The Club will distribute checks to our schools in a ceremony at the next Polar Bear Club meeting on April 23rd at 6pm in the Clubhouse.

I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped us make this event possible. To our sponsors, donors, spectators, plungers, volunteers, Dr. D, Blowing Smoke BBQ, my amazing team and of course our schools, THANK YOU! To see our local communities come together in such a big way is nothing short of amazing! It is because of all of you that we are able to give back in the ways that we can and I am very grateful! Now to get ready for next year!
