Board President’s Request to Join our 2021 Annual Meeting
On Saturday, April 24, 2021, the RRA will hold it’s Annual Meeting by way of technology. The Village of Roaming Shores has graciously permitted us to use their new upgraded technology and provide you, the members, an opportunity to participate in an informational meeting. The instructions on how to join are listed below.
There was no need for an election. Two Board seats were up for election but only two members submitted their intent to run for those positions. Rory Marshall will continue in his role as a Director and we welcome Robert McClintock to the Board as the “new kid on the block”. Both Rory and Bob are committed to serving our community and will work hard to contribute their skills, talents and energies to make Lake Roaming Rock the best private lake in Ohio.
Please join me in thanking Dave Emick who has served as a Board of Director member since 2015. These jobs are often thankless, and Dave deserves some time as a “private citizen”. Dave will, however, continue in his role as president of the Fishing Club. If you see Dave out and about, tell him thank you for his willingness to donate his time, talent, and resources to our “Shores” neighborhoods. We are lucky to have neighbors who are willing to serve in these roles.
Saturday’s meeting will cover among other topics our plans to improve lake health and our focus on lake safety. Both are a priority. Our finances will be reviewed, and you will have an opportunity to hear about our clubs and committees. A tremendous amount of work has been done in spite of the pandemic. If you are unable to join the meeting a link will be available on our website with the information provided in the Power Point Presentation that will be used.
Should you have any questions or topics you would like addressed, please forward them to board@roamingshores.org. We will try to answer some ad-hoc questions if possible but due to the technology, we can’t offer any guarantees. Let’s all hope we are back to face to face meetings next year!!
Our private lake community is just that… a community. A community is made up of people. Please get involved, stay informed, maintain your sense of pride and enjoy our beautiful natural resources and our wonderful neighbors who make Roaming Shores a great place to live and play.
