Can the Cruiser Food Drive – Nov 17th

The Roaming Shores Police Department would like to encourage and invite our community and the surrounding communities to participate in our first annual Can the Cruiser Food Drive. On November 17th from 11:00 to 3:00 the Roaming Shores Police Department’s cruisers will be parked at two locations, #1 the Village of Roaming Shores Administration Building; 2500 Hayford Road, Roaming Shores Ohio 44084 and #2 the Rome Rock Association Office; 1875 Rt 6, Rome Ohio 44085, to accept new nonperishable food items and monetary donations. All donations collected will be delivered to Country Neighbor and ultimately be used for their Christmas Food Basket Program.

Please do not clean out your pantry and donate expired goods, they are unusable and will have to be thrown away.

The Country Neighbor Program serves the needs of Southern Ashtabula and Northern Trumbull Counties and prepares approximately 175 meals daily to be delivered across the area. Country Neighbor is also Ashtabula County’s main food bank which supports approximately 15 food pantries spread across Ashtabula County. In addition to the above programs Country Neighbor also has numerous additional programs and services in the following six classifications: COMMUNITY SERVICES, HEALTH/WELLNESS SERVICES, OLDER ADULT SERVICES, NUTRITION PROGRAMS, PAPERWORK ASSISTANCE, CAREGIVER ASSISTANCE. For more information in reference to these programs and other services provided by Country Neighbor log onto their web site at www.countryneighbor.org

Again, we encourage you to take part in this event and look forward to seeing you on the 17th.
