Mary Clark, a long-time volunteer with the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program in Ashtabula County, was recognized earlier this year with the Tax-Aide Fellow Award. The award was presented to her on April 22 in Geneva by Jim Marrangoni, State Coordinator.

The title of Tax-Aide Fellow is awarded to recognize volunteers for long and distinguished service to the Tax-Aide program. Generally, “long” means serving as a Tax-Aide volunteer for at least ten years. In addition, the nominee must be a certified counselor with at least some of the time in a leadership position.

Mary began volunteering as a tax preparer with VITA in 1983. She has served more than 30 years in various AARP Foundation Tax-Aide roles in District One (Ashtabula County) including Counselor, Technology Coordinator, Instructor, Local Coordinator and District Coordinator. District One is proud that Mary has been recognized for her long and distinguished service and significant contributions to AARP Foundation Tax-Aide in Ashtabula County.
