Maintenance Cinder Bay

This Fall, the maintenance department built a cinder bay. The cinder bay will house the cinders that the plow trucks use on the roads to improve traction. For years, the cinders have not been shielded from the elements. They would get wet, freeze, and use up the time the crew could be plowing to break up the chunks of cinders. These frozen chucks would also damage our equipment. Housing the cinders in the bay will greatly decrease the amount of time it takes to fill up the trucks and get them back out plowing.
