Our Lake - The Heart of the Community

At the center of Roaming Shores is Lake Roaming Rock, a 550-acre privately maintained lake that is the largest of its kind in Ohio and the focal point of community recreation and outdoor living.

Members enjoy:

  • Boating & Water Sports — With a marina, boat storage, and a 7-mile water skiing loop, the lake offers year-round water activities.
  • Fishing & Wildlife — The lake supports excellent fishing for bass, crappie, catfish, perch, and bluegill, enhanced by active stocking programs.
  • Swimming & Beaches — Two private lakeside beaches provide sandy shorelines and shallow swim areas for all ages.

The RRA maintains and operates a wide range of amenities that cultivate community engagement and quality of life.

Recreation & Facilities

Pools & Beaches
Four heated swimming pools (including adult and kids’ pools) and two sandy beaches.

Clubhouse (under renovations)
A 3,500 sq ft clubhouse available for community gatherings and private rentals.

Sports & Parks
Basketball, volleyball, tennis, and pickleball courts, plus baseball fields, playgrounds, and picnic pavilions.

Parks & Trails
Community parklands and access to the nearby Western Reserve Greenway trail system.

Operations & Community Services

  • Road & Grounds Maintenance — Year-round care of roads, parklands, shoulders, open spaces, and recreation lots.
  • Lake Management — Water quality monitoring, dredging, lake treatment, lake level control, and lake access.
  • Lake Security & Regulation — Along with ODNR, responsible for lake safety and boating regulations.
  • Member Services — Lake access decals, membership cards
