  • Reasons For Desiring To Be On The Board Of Directors: The current RRA Board of Directors has done an excellent job of establishing a firm financial foundation for the Association while maintaining and improving Association amenities. Drawing upon my proven track record of government, military, and university leadership, as well as my master’s degree in business administration, my agenda is to ensure the RRA continues to move forward in a fiscally responsible manner while remaining accountable and sensitive to dues-paying property owners. I have already composed and submitted to the Association Board a detailed strategic plan for increased access to the lake for off-lake property owners. Additionally, I submitted to the RRA Board a plan for preventing the introduction of invasive plant and animal species into our lake that would save the Association future lake management costs. The Clubhouse Blvd is a responsibility of the Village and for years has been an eyesore. Councilwoman Sally Fell and I have created a strategic plan for landscape and roadway improvement of this street funded by State licensure road money. Other specific issues I plan to address are timely snowplowing of roads, conservative application of aquatic algaecides, development of a more effective dredging operation, and preserving a quality lake fishery.
  • Hobbies: Volunteer work, hiking, camping, boating, fishing, gardening, and landscaping.
  • Involvement In Committees And Clubs: As a longstanding member of the Lake Management Committee, I have actively participated in management of lake water quality. This past summer I was one of the primary volunteers engaged in the weekly sampling of lake chemistry utilizing the new water probe device. Additionally, I oversaw Jones Fish biologists as they conducted the most recent fish survey and the subsequent stocking of the lake with forage fish to improve fishing quality. I am a member and past secretary of the Fishing Club, founding member of both the RRA Strategic Planning Committee and Building and Maintenance Committee since the inception of the group. I created the Village Volunteer group that stained 50+ Clubhouse picnic tables in support of the opening of the concert pavilion. For the Village, I am past Chair of the Utilities Committee and the Dam & Stormwater Committee. I also volunteer annually for the Shores Clean-Up Day. For the past 2 years I volunteered as an observer for the sewer line smoke testing program.
