Membership cards will be checked upon entry. Concerts are tentatively scheduled for 6:00pm to 9:30pm with food service beginning at 5:00pm. Enjoy from Beach 1 or by boat. The Beach 1 area will be NO WAKE beginning at 5:00pm on concert nights as boaters will be anchoring for the concert. Boaters, there will be an area to park your watercraft marked by buoys near Beach 1. The Roaming Shores Police Department will host their 5th Annual Cardboard Boat Race at Beach 1. “THE CHALLENGE”: to design and build a person-powered corrugated cardboard boat capable of racing a 200-yard course, in Lake Roaming Rock. Boats may be powered by canoe paddles, oars, kayak paddles, approved mechanical paddlewheels, sails and raw muscle power. Jason P. Scribben was a senior at Grand Valley High School and died in a boating accident on Lake Roaming Rock on July 4th, 1998. The volleyball court at beach #1 was dedicated to him. Since 1999, the family has held a 3 on 3 Volleyball Tournament in his honor. This year the annual Jason P. Scribben Memorial 3 on 3 Volleyball Tournament will be on July 6th at the Roaming Shores Beach #1 Volleyball Court. The tournament will start at 1pm and registration will begin at 12:00pm. Steve Kryznowek is organizing this year’s event. If you have any questions, he can be reached at 440-563-3723. So please come and join us as we celebrate Jason P. Scribben’s memories and support safe boating on our Lake. Beach 1 10:00 pm: Fireworks Night!10:00 pm The Annual Fireworks Display will be Saturday July 6th at 10pm, weather permitting. The rain date will be July 7th. The annual display is made possible by the generous donations of our Membership and the tireless efforts of the STARS Club. The show is best viewed by boat or from the Beach 1 area. Boaters: Please anchor your boats around the buoys (rather than down the lake) for safety and the best view of lower & sky driven displays. Try to be in place by 9:30pm/9:45pm.

July 24, 2024(3 events) 3:30 pm: Yoga Club3:30 pm – 4:30 pm Interested in doing YOGA in the Shores? The Roaming Shores Yoga Club practices beginner’s Hatha YOGA. We will be able to accommodate up to 30 people. A waiting list will be established, if more than 30 people sign-up. WHAT IS HATHA YOGA: It is a wholistic mind-body-spirit approach to yoga combining breath practices, postures and meditation. WHO: This class is suited for beginner’s, although all levels are welcome. Each participant will work at their own level and pace. Adjustments can be made for any physical challenges. All participants will be asked to sign a required waiver at their first class. WHERE: We practice indoors at the Club House at Beach 1. WHAT TO BRING: Please bring a mat, yoga strap, beach towel/blanket and 2 yoga blocks if you have them. Note – the floor is hard, so you may find it useful to double mat. If you would like to practice from a chair, there are plenty of folding chairs at the Club House. INSTRUCTOR: Michelle Vanderlip, 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certified. Substitutes from the Roaming Shores community may occur as needed. Concerts are free for RRA Members and their guests only. Concert days are RRA Special Use days which means there will be no parties greater than 25 guests at Beach 1. Membership cards will be checked upon entry. Concerts are tentatively scheduled for 6:00pm to 9:30pm with food service beginning at 5:00pm. Enjoy from Beach 1 or by boat. The Beach 1 area will be NO WAKE beginning at 5:00pm on concert nights as boaters will be anchoring for the concert.
