April 18, 2026(1 event) 9:00 am: Safe Boating Course – Are you a boater? Were you born on or after January 1, 1982? If so, did you know that Ohio law requires you to earn a boating safety certificate to operate any boat or personal watercraft over 10 horsepower? Each year, Lake Patrol encounters inexperienced boaters who have not met this requirement, putting themselves and others at risk. To help ensure all boaters on Lake Roaming Rock are properly certified, we will once again offer a Safe Boating Course: Location: Village Hall (2500 Hayford Rd) The course is eight hours, including the test, and provides valuable information for anyone who owns a watercraft or simply enjoys being on the water. May 1, 2026(2 events) Dues & Assessments DueMay 1, 2026 Today is the deadline for Dues and Assessments. A late charge will be applied following the due date. Current Boat Decals and Lot # are required on ALL motorized Watercraft that are in the water or docked. There are several different payment options available. In Person: Checks, credit cards/debit cards and cash are accepted at our office location (1875 US Highway 6). There is a 3.5% fee for credit cards or $5.95 for debit. Our office hours through Mid-April are M-F 9am to 5pm. You may also use our dropbox located on the front porch. The box is under video surveillance and emptied daily. Mail: You can send your payment via US Mail to P.O. Box 8, Rome, OH 44085. Bank Bill Pay: Many banks offer their customer’s bill pay through their website. You can set the RomeRock Association as a payee. If you use this option to pay your Dues and Assessments, please make sure to set your Account Number as your Lot number(s). Your lot number is your property address. Online – Member Portal: The Online Member Portal allows you to view, manage and make Dues and Assessments payments. You will be able to set up recurring or one-time payments through our online portal and save your payment methods to use again in the future. Access your Member Portal/Engage at: https://engage.goenumerate.com/s/RomeRock/ **Note: There is a fee assessed for paying online per unconsolidated lot. 3.5% is charged for using a credit card, $5.95 for debit card, and $2.95 ACH payments. May 2, 2026(2 events) 8:00 am: Cleanup Day – Spring Cleanup Day is Saturday, May 2nd from 8am to noon at the Clubhouse parking lot! Cleanup Day is your opportunity to get rid of your “unusables”. This event is FREE to residents of Roaming Shores Village. There is NO LIMIT on loads, however, no commercial or landscaping vehicles will be allowed. General Unacceptable Waste: • Bricks, Rocks, Concrete, and Cement:
These materials are generally not suitable for standard waste collection due to their weight and composition.
• Yard and Lawn Waste:
While some areas may have separate collection programs for yard waste, it's not usually accepted during standard clean-up days.
• Construction Materials:
Items like lumber, drywall, and other construction debris often require specialized disposal methods.
Hazardous Waste:
• Insecticides/Pesticides:
These chemicals are considered hazardous and require special handling.
• Paint:
Paint and paint cans are also hazardous and should not be disposed of with regular trash.
• Batteries:
Batteries, including those in electronics and appliances, should be recycled or disposed of properly through designated programs.
• Anti-freeze, Oil, Solvents:
These hazardous chemicals require specialized disposal and should not be placed in regular trash.
• Tires:
Tires are not usually accepted during clean-up days and should be taken to designated tire recycling centers.
• Propane Tanks:
These tanks contain pressurized gas and require special handling for disposal.
• Electronics:
Computers, monitors, and other electronic devices contain hazardous materials that require proper recycling.
Bulk Items:
• Appliances:
Refrigerators, microwaves, and other appliances often contain hazardous materials like freon and batteries that require special handling for disposal.
• Car Parts:
Items like car batteries, tires, and engine parts are generally not accepted during clean-up days.
Other Unacceptable Items:
• Dirt, Gravel, Rock, and Sod: These materials are generally not suitable for standard waste collection.
• Riding Mowers: These items are usually too large and specialized for standard clean-up days.
