5K and 1-Mile Run\/Walk<\/h2>\n\n\n

The weekend will kick off on Saturday, July 1st at 8am with the Annual Roaming Shores 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run. This is a family friendly athletic event and one of the biggest races in Ashtabula County! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration begins at 7am in the Clubhouse. Take advantage of an Early Registration Discount and be guaranteed a shirt in your size by signing up by Friday, June 16th!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cardboard Boat Races<\/h2>\n\n\n

Then at noon, the Roaming Shores Police Department will host their 5th Annual Cardboard Boat Race at Beach 1. \u201cTHE CHALLENGE\u201d: to design and build a person-powered corrugated cardboard boat capable of racing a 200-yard course, in Lake Roaming Rock. Be sure to join us for workshops on June 10th and 24th at noon at Beach 1 for help and materials to build your own boat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jason Scribben Memorial Volleyball Tournament<\/h2>\n\n\n

This year’s annual Jason P. Scribben Memorial 3 on 3 Volleyball Tournament will be on July 1st at the Roaming Shores Beach #1 Volleyball Court. The tournament will start at 1pm and registration will begin at 12:00pm.

Jason P. Scribben was a senior at Grand Valley High School and died in a boating accident on Lake Roaming Rock on July 4th, 1998. Please come and join us as we celebrate Jason P. Scribben\u2019s memories and support safe boating on our Lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DJ, Food Truck, and Fireworks!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On the evening of July 1st, The Bakery Off Main<\/a> Food Truck will begin serving hot sandwiches and tasty treats around 5pm outside the Clubhouse.<\/p>\n\n\n

Doctor D will playing at the Kathy Crandall Entertainment Pavilion beginning at 7pm until 11pm.

The Annual Fireworks Display will begin at 10pm, weather permitting. The rain date will be July 2nd.<\/p>\n\n\n

The annual display is made possible by the generous donations of our Membership and the tireless efforts of the STARS Club. The show is best viewed by boat or from the Beach 1 area.

Remember: On Fireworks night, the entire lake will be no wake beginning at 8pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cornhole Tournament<\/h2>\n\n\n

The fireworks aren’t the end of the big weekend, join the STARS Club for their 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tournament will be held Sunday, July 2, 2023 on the field between the Roaming Shores Clubhouse Pool & Pavilion (13 Roaming Rock Blvd.) Rain or shine. Check-in and Registration starts at 12:00pm, Tournament starts at 1:00pm. (You\u2019ll be able to practice after checking in.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration is $20 per Person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You may enter as an individual or a Team. Individual entries will be assigned a teammate via \u201cRandom\u201d Drawing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration is limited to the first 40 Participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
