The RomeRock Association is a Homeowners\/Property Owners Association. When you purchase property in the Association (with or without a house) you automatically become a member of the RRA. Upon payment of all fees and the filing of required membership documents, you are then able to enjoy all RRA facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are not always informed of your correct mailing address at closing. The Association Rules and Regulations explain your privileges and help offer protection to all members. You\u2019ll find information about your Membership, Guests, Pool Rules, Pets, Roads, Watercraft and a whole lot more on the RRA Forms Page<\/a>. Please make yourself familiar with these documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Roaming Shores is governed by two bodies, the RomeRock Association (RRA) and the Village of Roaming Shores (RSV). It is important to note the difference between the two entity’s functions within the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The RomeRock Association<\/strong> is led by an elected seven-member Board of Directors<\/a> and handle: Dues and Assessments<\/a>, Boat Decals<\/a>, Membership Cards, Recreation: Pools, Parks, Clubhouse<\/a>, Culvert Installation\/Maintenance<\/a>, Road \/ Sign Maintenance (on Association-owned roadways), Lake Boat Patrol, Weed Harvester, and Club Activities<\/a>. The Village of Roaming Shores<\/strong> is led by an elected six-member Council and a Mayor<\/a> who handle: The Police Department<\/a>, Building\/Zoning, Inspections\/Permits\/Violations<\/a>, Dam and Spillways<\/a>, Contractor\/Solicitation Permits<\/a>, Compost Site<\/a>, Fire Hydrants, Garbage Collection Issues, Road Ban, Sewer\/Water Problems or Billing Utilities<\/a>. RRA Dues and Assessment are mailed out each year around the beginning of the new year. Members then have until May 1st to pay their D&A in full in order to continue using RRA Facilities. Your Dues & Assessments help pay to maintain the facilities, roads, lake, and so much more. For details regarding D&A rates, please see the current Rate Sheet<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All new members are assessed an one-time only new member impact fee of $1,500.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Membership cards are access passes that are issued yearly to Active Members (property owners) that allow you to be able to use the facilities of the RRA. In addition to Active Members, you may request cards for your immediate family and permanent guests to use the facilities without the Active Member present. Other guests may accompany the card holder to the facilities. See the Guest Policy in the Rules and Regulations<\/a> for more info.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The RomeRock Association implemented a digital membership card<\/a> system in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The RRA utilizes Enumerate Engage for its Membership Portal (separate from your membership card portal). The Engage Membership Portal is used for RRA Dues and Assessment payments (not utility bills), members-only documents and communications, the Member Directory, and more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Learn more and get registered<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Only the RomeRock Association is authorized to approve installation of culverts for driveways and\/or roadsides on Association-owned roads. You must complete an application with the Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n RRA driveways are required to have at least 30 feet of culvert pipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Applications are available at the RRA Office (1875 US Highway 6, Rome, OH 44085)<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Click here for more information<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you own more than one lot that are contiguous to one another, you may consolidate them. There is a limit of four for off-lake lots and three for on-lake lots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To begin the process, you must first fill out a Request for Consolidation<\/a> form. Gazette Newspapers publishes The Shores News<\/em>, a monthly newspaper that is mailed once a month to approved member’s homes. The Shores News<\/em> provides members with in-depth news happening in the Shores and the surrounding community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition, members who have email addresses are encouraged to sign up for E-Mail Blasts<\/a>. With E-Mail Blasts, members receive at least one email per week detailing upcoming events for the week in addition to timely blasts sent out in the event of meeting changes, alerts, and emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The RRA Website is also kept up-to-date with current news and upcoming events.
