WHAT IS HATHA YOGA:  It is a wholistic mind-body-spirit approach to yoga combining breath practices, postures and meditation.

WHO:  This class is suited for beginner’s, although all levels are welcome.  Each participant will work at their own level and pace.  Adjustments can be made for any physical challenges.  All participants will be asked to sign a required waiver at their first class.

WHEN: Classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm, on the following dates for

WHERE:  We practice indoors at the Club House at Beach 1. 

WHAT TO BRING: Please bring a mat, yoga strap, beach towel/blanket and 2 yoga blocks if you have them.  Note – the floor is hard, so you may find it useful to double mat.

If you would like to practice from a chair, there are plenty of folding chairs at the Club House.

INSTRUCTOR: Michelle Vanderlip, 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certified. Substitutes from the Roaming Shores community may occur as needed.

As part of our Rockin’ 60th Summer Celebration, the RomeRock Association is proud to honor the members and families who have been part of our community the longest.

We invite those who have been members for 40 years or longer to join us on Opening Weekend, May 23rd, for a special reception at the Clubhouse following the Opening Ceremonies at noon.

This event will celebrate the stories, memories, and milestones that have defined life at Roaming Rock Shores over the decades. We would also love for you to be part of the program

• Share a favorite memory or reflection during the event
• Submit photos, stories, or memorabilia to be included in a commemorative presentation
• Or simply come out to enjoy the memories and light refreshments

Whether it’s an early snapshot of the community taking shape, a family tradition, or a favorite lake memory, your contributions will help bring our shared history to life.

The due date for Dues and Assessments is coming up! Dues and Assessments are due every year on May 1st. We send out invoices after the 1st of year to allow members to pay early or make installment payments if they are unable to pay their balance all at once. We know life gets busy and it’s easy to forget about the Dues and Assessments due date.

Join the RomeRock Association for its Annual Meeting on Saturday, April 25th at 10am at Village Hall. The results of the election will be announced, the Treasurer’s report for fiscal year 2025 will be presented, the Directors will report on activities of the past year and discuss plans for the current year and beyond.

Refreshments will be served before the meeting. Please make an effort to attend as the growth and success of our association depends on the active participation of its members!

The Office will be closed due to the Annual Meeting. The drop box is available to drop off payments.

Note: As the parking lot at Village Hall is smaller than the Clubhouse, please consider carpooling.

Note: All applicants must be 18 or older (with the exception of concession stand). Please stop by the RRA Office during normal business hours (currently Mon. – Fri. 9am to 5pm and Sat 9am – 1pm) to pick up an application. $12 to $18/hr depending on job and experience.

Part-Time Maintenance: May to Fall (may begin as early as April, if available). Part-time maintenance employees perform various duties including the upkeep of our common areas. Must have a clean driving record and be able to perform physical labor. Must be able to work occasional weekends. (Rate: $14/hr starting)

Lake Patrol: Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day. Will include nights and weekends. Candidates must be an experienced boater and have passed a State Approved General Boating Education Course. A clean driving record is also required. Training in first aid or experience in law enforcement is a plus. (Rate: $16/hr starting). Apply on Indeed

Gate Guards: Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day. Will include nights and weekends. Gate Guards supervise pools; check for valid membership cards; monitor restrooms, beaches, and grounds for vandalism or trash; check in party reservations, maintain radio contact with office to assist membership; watch pools for problems with chemicals, dirt, heat or mechanical operation; and monitor weather. They turn pool lights on and off, lock up both of the pools and restrooms at the end of the day. They also keep tally of visitors, keep written logs, and note any trouble or injuries. (Rate: $12/hr starting)

Concession Stand: This position is open to ages 16 and up. Perfect for High Schoolers. Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day, 12pm to 6pm. Will include nights and weekends. Concession stand workers take orders, prepare food, handle payments, and track inventory at the concession stand. (Rate: $12/hr starting)

Following the tremendous success of our annual 5K, the STARS Club is excited to host a new Half Marathon planned for Saturday, May 23, 2026, Memorial Day weekend, to kick off and celebrate Lake Roaming Rock’s 60th Anniversary!

This scenic, mostly flat course loops around beautiful Lake Roaming Rock and showcases the charm of the Roaming Shores community.

Building on the success of past races, this event is perfect for both seasoned runners and first-time half marathon participants.

USATF Certified Course

All lessons will be held at Pool 1 (west side). While spots in the class are not guaranteed, we will make an effort to accommodate all students, which may mean adjusting class days and/or times. You will be refunded if we are unable to fit you into the class.
