Clubhouse

The RRA Clubhouse, located at Beach 1 (13 Roaming Rock Boulevard) is used as a meeting place for many of the Clubs and Groups in Roaming Shores. One of the many benefits to being a member of the RRA is the ability to rent the Clubhouse for meetings, parties, and events. The Clubhouse is very spacious at 3,500 sq. ft. which includes a large meeting area, a fireplace, and a kitchen. Its location offers some of the best views of Lake Roaming Rock! Guests of the member who rents the Clubhouse are permitted to use the facilities located on Beach 1, this includes swimming at the beach and/or the swimming pool (weather permitting). The Clubhouse capacity is approximately 180 sitting and 300 standing.

10:30 am: Emergency Preparedness Citizens Group

September 29, 2018

Are you and your family prepared should an emergency occur? It could be as simple as the inconvenience experienced from a short electrical power outage or it could be as serious as a house fire or perhaps wind, rain or water damage from a rain or snow storm. While we certainly hope none of these things do happen, the fact remains they are very real possibilities. We never know when a natural or manmade disaster will occur.

The recent fires in California are a reminder that things can happen in any community that threatens not only property but human life as well. Both our Village Council and our Home Owners Association have plans in place to address emergencies but resources are limited. We as citizens can help better prepare our community and assist our governing bodies to plan and respond to these types of events.

You can be an important part of our planning process by joining us at an organizational meeting of our new RomeRock Emergency Preparedness Citizens Group. The meeting is scheduled for 10:30, Saturday, September 29, at the Roaming Shores Village Hall on Hayford Road. During this meeting, we will determine meeting schedules and locations as well as prioritize action items.
The purpose of this initiative is to develop a partnership between the residents of Roaming Shores and our local government and homeowner association to assist with emergency planning, mitigation, response and recovery. Some of the ways we can assist are with education, communication and response activities.

Formal training, education or experience in this arena is not necessary. Just a willingness to help is required. However, if you do have training or education in this specialty field, it will be welcomed with open arms. Please forward any questions or recommendations regarding this initiative to the email address listed below. If you are unable to attend, but would like information for future meetings, provide your contact information to the same email address.

Help make our community even stronger by stepping out and joining this new innovative group! Plan on attending and finding out how you can make a difference!
