Morning Star Closed – Wires Down

Update: This issue has been resolved.

Please be advised that Morning Star Drive between Lake Crest and Acacia Circle is currently closed due to trees and wires being down. The Illuminating Company has been informed. Click here for up-to-date outage information.

It is very windy outside today, the potential for other downed wires, trees, and power outages is high. The Association will be closing roads for safety if there is a hazard. Use caution when venturing outside today.

Downed power lines are dangerous. Never touch them. For safety’s sake, always assume that a fallen power line is live, and follow these guidelines:

    • Avoid touching the downed line with your hand or an object, such as a stick, broom or pole.
    • Avoid touching anything, such as a car, object or equipment, or anyone who is in contact with a fallen power line.
    • Keep children and pets away from fallen electric lines.
    • Avoid driving over a fallen power line.
    • Call 911 immediately to report a fallen power line.

    In Memoriam: Nancy Boucherle

Nancy Louise Boucherle passed away peacefully in Cape Coral, Florida on January 22, 2017. Nancy was born on June 14, 1928 in McDonald, Ohio to Charles F. and Amanda S. Clifford. Nancy spent the majority of her life in Youngstown, Ohio and worked at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Patience Care, Inc. and retired from Hynes Industries. She spent about 15 years of her retirement at Roaming Shores.

She is survived by three sisters, her children Mary (Sam Kindred), Paul (Jayne) and Charles (Jenny), and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Donations in memory of Nancy can be made to Rock Creek Public Library, 2988 High Street, Rock Creek, Ohio 44084

Nancy loved and lake and loved the library.

    From the family:
Once Nancy left her home at the lake, she was never the same. Things digressed quickly. She remained in Ohio for only 6 more months. During her last 2 years, she had lost all concept of time and where she was. She knew her family. She was never in pain or depressed. She was in her own world; guess the good Lord did her a favor. It was a blessing because the vibrant person we had all come to know was no longer there; she was no longer mobile.
